Important
News Regarding the Head Teacher
I must start this newsletter
with some news from my private life that will mean big changes
for myself and the school. My girlfriend is Danish, and
over Christmas we have decided to get married! After much
deliberation we have decided due to family commitments that
it is best for us to be based in Denmark rather than England.
Therefore I have tendered my resignation to the governors,
and I will be leaving the school this summer.
I have really enjoyed
my time at the school and the support I have had from all
in the school community. There are many exciting projects
in the pipeline, and I am very pleased that I will be here
to see the opening of the new After School and Playgroup
building after the Easter holidays, and the introduction
of cooked meals, which we now expect to begin at the same
time.
The governors will
be advertising for a new head teacher at the end of this
half term, and interviews will take place in early April.
I will be able to work with the new head teacher during
the summer term to ensure a smooth handover. I am sure that
Milverton School, with its excellent reputation, will attract
a high level of candidates, ready to lead the school on
the next phase in its development.
